Breakfast this morning: fried polenta cakes with Cremini mushrooms and caramelized onions.
Today is the last day of my vacation. DESPAIR. It will be good to go back to work because I'm probably driving Matt crazy around here, but I'm really getting the hang of lazing about the house in my pajamas all day. Stay-at-home-moms really have something special going on.
The other day, a big present suddenly appeared by the Christmas tree. Matt said it's for me, so of course I've been grilling him for hints ever since.
- It's from a store that begins with an "A"
- The store is not Amazon
- The present itself begins with a "J"
- It is made of wood
- It has some small metal parts
- I have at no time ever said that I wanted this
WHAT IS THIS. After a short nightmare last night, I was up for probably another hour and a half thinking of all the things it could be. Jumper cables? Not made of wood! Wooden javelin? Some kind of jalapeƱo rack? I'm stumped. It's kind of heavy, too... I've been shaking the box around trying to figure it out but I've hit a wall. WHAT ARE YOU, MYSTERY PRESENT??

Haha! Too funny! I vote jewelry box..maybe?!
My guess is that it's some piece of furniture from Anthropologie.
You guys are very wise. Both of those things make much more sense than a wooden javelin. BUT ARE THEY AS FUN?
Does it smell? I find that giving the presents a good sniff helps sometimes!
I want your breakfast!!!
Everytime I try and cook polenta, it sucks balls.
Ermmm....a jaguar!? Oh, not wood.
Wooden jaguar?
Jibibut? (http://noferin.com/2011/jibibuts/ - I collect these ^__^ )
wooden joystick?
jump rope?
It's totally a jalepeno rack.
Very entertaining subject, I will bookmark your website to check out if you publish more in the future. Thanks!
